“Ways to live forever” by Sally Nicholls, a young award – winning British author, is such an amazing and moving story about Sam Oliver McQueen. He is an 11 year-old dying boy who determined to enjoy life as much as possible while trying to struggle against Leukaemia, an incurable disease. With the great loving help of his family, teacher and friends, Sam had completed everything he wishes to do before he died. He also finds out a special ways to leave forever by letting his last moments remain in his family members ‘memories forever.
By a particularly writing style as a collection of journals, check list, questions and pictures, Sam’s story absolutely catches your attention right at the first lines. Once you open the book you can never put it down till the last page! Although it’s a sad story that can bring the readers to tears, but lots of humorous details gracefully appear throughout the story can also make them laugh merrily most of the time.
“Ways to live forever” is an amazing and inspiring book for all ages, especially young readers. It’s translated into 16 languages. It’s also being made into a movie in 2010.
