Book Review:

“Millions” was a story about two boys, Damian and his older brother Anthony. They lived in England with their father.  Their mother died several months ago.  The two boys and their father have recently moved to a new home where they hoped to start a new life away from the sorrow and memories of their old house.  Damien was a nice and innocent boy, he had a great interest in saints and angels.Like you, I was so impressed by his incredible knowledge about all the saints in Christian’s Bible. He always wanted to do good things to be “excellent” to please his father. While Anthony, Damien’s older brother, was deeply interested in money and real estate. I figured that he was a little cunning but generally a good boy. The two boys suddenly found themselves millionaires when a big bag stuffed with 229,307 old British pound notes dropped from the sky on Damian’s lap while he was praying. They realized that they had only 17 days to spend the whole money before the British pound was replaced by the new Euro. I can imagine how rush Damian and his brother raced to spend all of the money before it become worthless! Damian thought the money must have come from God. He tried to think of a saintly way to spend it, however his brother Anthony insisted to invest money in real estate. In fact, there was a band of robbers who broke into a money train. As the train traveled to its destination, he threw a bag full of money at each bend in the tracks.  One of those bags of stolen money just happened to drop on Damien’s hermitage. The two boys were in danger when the robbers knew the bag was dropped around the area of their house. I’m sure that these robbers would do any crazy thing to get the money back. Being young Millionaires in just after one night by sudden, Damian and Anthony struggled between their temptation of buying things for their own and a sense of good purpose: helping poor people. They realized that it was really hard to own a big sum of money, then knowing how to use it properly was even harder! What would they finally decide to do? What would happen to those sly robbers? All the problems were not sold untill the end of the story, I believed that it helped increasing the readers ' excitement.
Being a millionaire was such an incredible feeling but Damian and Anthony finally discovered that money can not buy what they really needed: their true happiness and the peace in their mind.
